The beautiful Poonam Dhillon makes a dazzling appearance at BMO IFFSA | PIFF Toronto gala night!

May 15, 2015 – Toronto – BMO IFFSA | PIFF Toronto 2015 – The Biggest South Asian Film Festival in North America is being hailed as one of the most glamorous events in the South Asian showbiz calendar not only here in North America, but on an international scale. May 15 marked a flurry of star studded activity that reiterated the associated glitz and glamour with this festive event.

Red Carpet appearances by local and international South Asian stars included a big list of celebrities, and the gorgeous star of Indian cinema Poonam Dhillon. Dhillon first gained fame when she was crowned Miss Young India 1978 at the age of 16. Director Yash Chopra noticed her and offered her a role in the film Trishul (1978) which went to became a super hit.

Now in it’s 4th year, the festival has gone bigger and is attracting house full feature presentations. Jake Dheer (Station Manager Rogers TV) was superb as he engaged the audience with his stage mastery and gave insights into the festival.

Sunny Gill, the founder and president thanked the title sponsor BMO and other key sponsors, media partners and festival team members who believed in his vision, to make this event grow to new successful heights each year.

Inder Singh, the festival vice president on his behalf acknowledged all the sponsors, executive team members and the advisory board for their insights.

Poonam Dhillon thanked the festival organizers for their hospitality and highlighted the key role people of Punjabi/Indian origin are playing in Canada.
